Specialist Speech and Language Therapist

Location: Chertsey, Surrey
Hours: Full-Time (35 hours/week), Term Time + 3 Flex Weeks (42 weeks total)
Salary: £38,048 - £41,896 per annum (DOE)
Contract: Permanent

Are you an experienced Specialist Speech and Language Therapist looking for a rewarding role in a supportive school-based setting? We are working with a leading specialist education provider who is looking to welcome a passionate and skilled Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to their multidisciplinary team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to manage a diverse caseload of pupils aged 4-11 with severe and complex speech, language, and communication needs. You will work closely with teachers, learning support assistants, and allied health professionals to create a fully integrated approach to care and education.

• Manage and deliver tailored therapy for children with complex SLCN

• Conduct assessments, implement intervention plans, and contribute to EHCP reviews

• Use AAC and other innovative communication approaches

• Collaborate with a multi-professional team including OTs and educational psychologists

• Contribute to pre-admission assessments and curriculum development

• HCPC and RCSLT registered Speech and Language Therapist

• Degree in Speech and Language Therapy

• Minimum of 2 years' experience working with paediatric SLCN, ideally in a school setting

• Knowledge of ASD, AAC strategies, and differential diagnosis

• A proactive and reflective Specialist Speech and Language Therapist with strong communication and team skills
