This high-dependency school provides full in-house training, hands-on support, and mentoring from experienced professionals. You'll be part of a welcoming and supportive team, delivering engaging, interest-based learning that goes far beyond traditional classroom methods.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Providing individualised support on a 1:1 or 2:1 basis using tailored, practical learning approaches

  • Delivering creative lessons based on student interests - from learning Maths through Monopoly to teaching Geography in the community

  • Assisting with personal care when required (full training provided)

  • Using evidence-based approaches such as ABA (Applied Behaviour Analysis) and PECs (Picture Exchange Communication Systems)

  • Supporting students in developing key life skills, independence, and confidence

  • Helping to maintain a safe, positive, and pupil-centred environment at all times

What We're Looking For

  • A genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs

  • Calm, adaptable, and creative problem-solver with strong communication skills

  • Able to work independently as well as part of a collaborative and supportive team

  • Interest in SEN, youth work, psychology, gaming, or IT is a bonus - but not essential

  • Willingness to complete safeguarding and induction training before starting

  • Physical readiness for a role that involves movement, activity, and engagement (a short fitness questionnaire will be completed)

What You'll Receive

  • Full training programme with shadowing and support from experienced staff

  • Progression route to become a Specialist Tutor

  • Uniform provided

  • Free onsite parking

  • 9 weeks annual leave (including bank holidays)

  • Employee wellbeing services including counselling, GP access, and physiotherapy

  • Staff team-building days and social events

  • Company pension

Hours: Monday - Friday | 08:00-16:00 or 08:30-16:30
Annual Working Weeks: 43 weeks (school operates an extended academic year)

Safeguarding Commitment
An enhanced DBS check is required for all applicants, along with a completed self-declaration regarding prior convictions. The school is fully committed to the safeguarding and well being of children and expects all staff to share that commitment.
