Specialty Doctor NOI

Location: Marie Curie Hospice, Belfast 

Salary: NHS Specialty Doctor (2021 contract) Pay Scale £61,542 - £99,216 per annum pro rata (dependent on experience) and 5% Availability Supplement 

Hours:  6 PAs (24 hours) per week with 1 in 5 on-call commitment (non-resident). 

Contract: Fixed term until November 2027

What we are looking for: 

Complete GMC registration, a licence to practice and at least 4 years of full-time postgraduate training (2 of which must have been in relevant acute specialities/or demonstration of equivalent experience and competencies).  MB ChB or equivalent

In collaboration with the broader team, you will primarily provide medical support, assessment and care for hospice inpatients, and may also work with the community and Day Procedure teams.  

This role involves participation in teaching and management activities at the hospice. You will be supported and encouraged to conduct audit/quality improvement and participate in activities relating to maintaining clinical excellence within the service. 

Previous experience in palliative medicine is desirable but not essential, and there will be education and supervision for the successful applicants.
