Our private client are recruiting Speech and Language Therapy Team Lead to oversee the speech and language therapy service, based at their school in Cheadle.

The School provides education and therapy for young people across the autism spectrum and includes support for families, and advice, coaching and training for professionals working across the They are currently supporting over 100 students aged 5-19.

Key Responsibilities:

• Independently manage a caseload of students with complex communication needs.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and formulate personalised intervention plans.
• Supervise and support professional development of the SaLT team.
• Lead clinical supervision and contribute to the appraisal process.
• Facilitate and deliver staff training and consultation.
• Develop and maintain policies, procedures and quality assurance measures aligned to best practice.
• Use data and outcomes to inform strategic planning and service improvement.
• Regularly review and adapt therapy approaches to ensure effectiveness.

Requirements:

• Be a qualified Speech and Language Therapist registered with the HCPC.
• Minimum 2 years' post-qualification experience.
• Experience supporting individuals with autism or neurodevelopmental differences.
• Familiarity with EHCP processes, safeguarding requirements, and clinical governance.
• Management experience is essential.
