Sports Coach - Bamber Bridge

Role: 1:1 Sports Graduate / Sports Coach Support Assistant

Location: Bamber Bridge, Lancashire

Contract: Full-time (Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM)

Start Date: ASAP

Pay: £92.56+ per day (dependent on experience)

Tradewind Recruitment is partnering with an inclusive and supportive primary school in Bamber Bridge to appoint a passionate 1:1 Support Assistant. This is a long-term, full-time role assisting a Key Stage 1 (KS1) child who benefits from a structured, active, and engaging environment.

The Role

Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a KS1 pupil throughout the school day, helping them access the curriculum and stay engaged in learning.

Channel your background in sports to build strong rapport, implement active movement breaks, and act as a positive role model.

Assist the classroom teacher by implementing structured routines and supporting positive behaviour management.

Help develop the pupil's social interaction, confidence, and resilience both inside the classroom and during outdoor play.

What We Are Looking For

A strong background in Sports Coaching, Physical Education, Sports Science, or Youth Activity Leadership.

Experience working with or coaching children (sports clubs, summer camps, or primary school environments).

A patient, resilient, and high-energy personality with a natural ability to build trust and rapport.

An interest in or prior experience with SEN (Special Educational Needs) is beneficial, but strong transferable coaching skills are highly valued.

An enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one through Tradewind).
