Job Description - Sports Digital Merchandising Coordinator

Sports Digital Merchandising Coordinator
Warner Bros. Discovery
12 Months contract
West London-based (Hybrid working)
£180pd (Inside IR35)

The role would require frequent evening & weekend work, across a 2 week rota
Typically 7.5 hours per day.
The working schedule changes weekly based on WBDs live event schedule.

Key Skills and Experience
Proficiency in Digital editorial operations, workflows, and live event creation tools.
Commanding knowledge of various editorial tools, CMS and VMS.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Comfortable with collaborating across multiple business units globally.
Ability to comfortably work with various job functions such as Business Executives, Product, Data, Engineers, Technology Operations, and Vendors.
Sports knowledge
Knowledge or experience of working with OTT/streaming platforms

Key Responsibilities
As part of the Sports Merchandising team help with the delivery of goals, priorities and merchandising strategies set by the EMEA Sports director to maximize the full potential of sports content on Discovery+ local products.
Based on data and company priorities, build rails and experiences to improve sport content discoverability, RTP, and engagement/retention of sport customers on Discovery+ UK.
Create (following guidance from Sport Pillar leads + Sports Merchandising Director) site/UX layouts for major live events including but not limited to the Premier League, Champions League Olympics, Tennis Grand Slams.
Monitor high profile sports content (including Champions League, Premier League, Grand Slam Tennis) and flag any issues to Incident Support to ensure smooth customer experience
Track engagement data during and post major events and build/update rails on the site reactively.
Work closely with internal sports merchandising tools like Taiga and Sonic to help manage EPG, sports metadata and imagery.
Manage central highlight delivery process and check with deliveries high standards are maintained on imagery and metadata.
Collaborate with creative and product teams to improve existing processes, imagery and feature experiences for sports customers.
