Senior Manager, ET BU Marketing – Pompe
Hybrid London (min 2 days per week in the office)

The Senior Manager, ET BU Marketing – Pompe, will support the development and execution of the global marketing strategy for Pombiliti + Opfolda, a key rare disease asset within the Enzyme Business Unit.
Reporting to the ET BU Pompe Marketing Lead, this role will help translate global brand strategy into impactful campaigns, materials, market engagement activities and customer-facing tools across US, Japan, EUCAN and ICON markets. The individual will partner closely with cross-functional teams, country stakeholders, agency partners and external vendors to ensure global initiatives are delivered effectively, compliantly and in alignment with business objectives.
Following the acquisition of Amicus by BioMarin, this role will support the integration of Pompe brand activities, assets and processes into the BioMarin operating model, helping to maintain business continuity and effective collaboration across teams.
Key Responsibilities
1. Support Brand Strategy and Execution
- Support the execution of the global marketing strategy and annual brand plan for Pombiliti + Opfolda.
- Gather market insights and inputs to support brand planning activities and prioritisation.
- Track brand plan progress, key deliverables and performance metrics, highlighting risks and opportunities.
- Monitor market dynamics, customer insights, competitive activity and emerging evidence to inform marketing initiatives.
2. Develop Campaigns and Marketing Materials
- Partner with the Pompe Marketing Lead and cross-functional teams to develop branded and unbranded campaigns.
- Support the creation of global messaging, digital content, training materials, congress assets and customer engagement tools.
- Ensure materials are evidence-based, compliant and adaptable for local market needs.
- Collaborate with country teams to understand customer needs and support successful implementation.
3. Drive Cross-Functional and Market Collaboration
- Facilitate regular engagement forums and working sessions with key markets to gather feedback and share best practices.
- Build productive relationships with country stakeholders and support alignment on key initiatives.
- Consolidate and communicate market feedback to support continuous improvement of campaigns and resources.
- Share learnings and successful practices across the Enzyme Business Unit.
4. Support External Engagement and Insight Generation
- Assist with the planning and execution of advisory boards, congress activities and expert engagement initiatives.
- Coordinate with internal and external partners to ensure activities are delivered effectively and compliantly.
- Capture and summarise insights from key stakeholders and market interactions.
- Develop supporting materials and briefing documents for external engagements.
5. Manage Projects, Agencies and Operational Delivery
- Manage day-to-day relationships with agency partners and vendors.
- Coordinate project timelines, asset development, review processes and implementation plans.
- Monitor budgets, timelines, risks and project status across key workstreams.
- Support continuous improvement of team processes and ways of working.
6. Ensure Compliance and Governance
- Ensure marketing activities comply with internal policies, regulatory requirements and legal standards.
- Support the review and approval of marketing materials through Veeva and applicable governance processes.
- Maintain marketing documentation and asset management processes within BioMarin systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Life Sciences, Business or a related field.
- 4-7 years' experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare marketing or agency environments.
- Experience supporting global, regional or multi-market marketing initiatives.
- Understanding of omnichannel marketing, customer engagement and commercial execution in a regulated environment.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, country stakeholders and agency partners.
- Strong project management, communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to analyse information, synthesise insights and translate them into actionable recommendations.
- Familiarity with medical, legal and regulatory review processes.
- Collaborative, proactive and able to operate effectively in a matrix environment.
- Rare disease, specialty care or biologics experience is advantageous.
