Sr Node.js Developer

Overview

We are seeking a talented and experienced individual to join our team in a senior capacity, focusing on backend development using Node.js. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of server-side logic, API development, and database management, contributing to innovative solutions that enhance our platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable applications and services with Node.js.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• Design and implement robust APIs for data exchange and functionality.
• Optimise applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
• Debug and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Node.js developer, with a strong portfolio of projects.
• Solid understanding of JavaScript, including ES6+ features.
• Experience with databases, both SQL and NoSQL.
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs and web services.
• Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and React is a plus.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, etc.)
• Knowledge of containerisation and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
