Staff Electronics Engineer Cambridge | Hybrid (3 days on site) up to £95k + package
Are you an experienced electronics engineer who enjoys leading complex product development projects? Do you thrive in multidisciplinary teams, helping shape technology from concept through to manufacture?
We're supporting an innovative technology company developing highly advanced products within a regulated, safety-critical environment. They are looking for a Staff Electronics Engineer to provide technical leadership across the design and development of electronic systems throughout the full product lifecycle. They would also consider somebody at Principal level to join the team to take on additional technical ownership and leadership responsibilities, ontop of the below.
What you'll be doing: Leading the development of electronic subsystems across digital, analogue, power, FPGA and embedded technologies. Shaping system architecture alongside software, mechanical, systems and manufacturing teams. Providing technical oversight, design reviews and mentoring to other engineers. Driving best practice across electronics development, testing and compliance activities. Supporting technical documentation and product development within a regulated environment. Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the engineering function.What we're looking for: Essential: experience with motor control and power supplies (board level) Background in electronics product development. Experience leading technical projects within multidisciplinary teams. Expertise in one or more of: embedded systems, power electronics, FPGA, analogue design, or high-speed communications. Experience taking products from concept through to manufacture. Knowledge of PCB design, schematic capture and DFM/DFx principles. Experience working within a regulated industry such as medical devices, aerospace, automotive or defence. Excellent communication and mentoring skills.Nice to have: EMC compliance experience. Knowledge of safety standards. Experience within robotics or other safety-critical environments. Please note sponsorship is not available for this role.
