What You’ll Do

• Take ownership of the quality, performance, and stability of our Android app
• Lead technical decision-making and guide the team in maintaining clean, scalable architecture
• Collaborate closely with product and design teams to align implementation with strategic objectives
• Ensure consistent UX and functionality across Android, iOS, and web platforms
• Identify edge cases, resolve bugs, and maintain high standards of test coverage
• Shape and evolve ANNA’s mobile development practices and CI/CD workflows
• Provide technical leadership across Android and iOS teams, mentoring developers and helping them grow
• Lead planning and prioritisation for mobile initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals
• Facilitate knowledge-sharing across mobile platforms and advocate for best practices
• Partner with engineering leadership to scale mobile capabilities and contribute to hiring efforts

Our Technology Stack

• Kotlin / Java
• Jetpack Compose
• RxJava / Coroutines
• Proto3 / WebSockets / REST APIs
• Flutter (as a cross-platform addition)
• CI/CD Pipelines

What You’ll Need

• 6+ years of professional Android development experience
• Strong knowledge of the Android SDK, Jetpack Compose, and MVP/MVVM architecture
• Solid experience with Kotlin Coroutines, RxJava, and Java concurrency
• Proficiency with dependency injection frameworks
• Experience building apps that consume HTTP APIs, WebSockets, and Protocol Buffers (proto3)
• Confidence in writing and maintaining UI tests
• Clear and professional English communication (B2+ level or higher)
• Proven leadership or management experience within a mobile team

Nice to Have

• Experience with Flutter, or willingness to learn and contribute cross-platform
• Understanding of multi-module Android projects and their optimisation
• Ability to identify and resolve performance issues (ANRs, jank, UI lags)
• Experience setting up and refining CI/CD pipelines
