Job Description - Stakeholder Management Officer

Are you a highly collaborative individual with experience of project stakeholder management? If so, we want to hear from you.
Midlands Connect have a brand-new role for a Stakeholder Management Officer to work across the teams major programmes, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and projects are progressing. You will work on innovative projects including Midlands Rail Hub, Local Electric Vehicle Infrastructure and the Wider Integrated Strategy for Energy, Road and Rail that aims to improve infrastructure in and around East Midlands Freeport. These are integral projects that will keep people moving, improve connectivity and boost economic growth.
The role is for a period of 12 months, to understand and support stakeholder engagement activity across the portfolio and enable you to develop and maintain a Stakeholder and Communications Strategy and Management Plan, ensuring that projects develop and retain a positive media profile.
Midlands Connect researches, develops and progresses transport projects which will provide the biggest possible environmental, economic and social benefits for the Midlands and the rest of the UK. They are seeking someone who can deal with multiple projects at once, is highly organised, thrives within a busy environment and is able to handle complex relationships.
What you will be doing
Provide support to the Strategic Partnerships Lead in the wider corporate partnership engagement activities.
Identify and map all project stakeholders, using a recognised project management approach.
Support the development of a bespoke plan for each stakeholder / stakeholder group.
Work with Communications and PR colleagues to support the development of a parallel holistic / strategic Communications plan that supports the programme of technical work and stakeholder engagement activity.
Monitor activity and progress against the Stakeholder and Communications Strategy
Play an active role in delivering the stakeholder engagement plan developed.
About you
Experience of undertaking stakeholder engagement on capital delivery projects
Aptitude to be able to deal with complex problems and relationships.
Excellent interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail

The location for this role is Alpha Tower, Suffolk Street Queensway, Birmingham, B1 1TT. It is expected that you can split your time between the office and working remotely, with at least 2 days spent in the office.
