Steam Trap Survey Engineer

My client is part of a larger company that are known within the industry for their work with pipeline equipment for steam, water and oil systems. They manufacture various equipment including valves, steam traps, actuators and heat exchange packages. Due to extensive growth, they are now looking for a Steam Trap Survey Engineer to join their engineering department. As a Steam Trap Survey Engineer, you will be conducting details onsite inspections of industrial steam systems, testing and analysing the performance of steam traps and providing advice on support or improvements needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform onsite inspections of steam systems to check proper installation and identify potential problems.
• Conduct performance testing of steam traps using ultrasonic measuring equipment.
• Record detailed data on each steam trap, including type, size, location, operating conditions, and measured performance.
• Troubleshoot issues and advise on best practices to improve steam system efficiency and reduce energy waste.

Requirements

• Previous experience in steam trap surveys or industrial maintenance preferred.
• Strong understanding of steam systems and steam trap operation.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with clients and team members.
• Full UK driving licence.
