The successful candidate must be capable of working independently, coordinating tasks, and ensuring smooth progress across multiple stages of steel erection. Key Responsibilities · Erect structural steel frames, beams, columns, and associated components · Read and interpret fabrication drawings and site plans · Work collaboratively with site supervisors, crane operators, and fabrication teams · Install bolted connections, bracing, and secondary steelwork · Operate lifting equipment, hand tools, and power tools safely · Maintain high standards of site safety and housekeeping · Adapt to changing project requirements and assist with on-site problem-solving Requirements · Proven experience as a steel erector on commercial or industrial projects · Strong understanding of structural steel installation and site safety Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling duties · Ability to read and work from technical drawings · CSCS card required; IPAF, CPCS, or slinger/signaller qualifications advantageous · Comfortable working at height and in varying weather conditions · Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively within a team · Full UK driving licence · Own transport essential · Ability to weld would be advantageous What We Offer · Competitive pay based on experience · Opportunity to work on varied and technically interesting projects · Supportive team environment · Overtime pay · Workplace pension · On site parking · Company events If you are practical, dependable, and enjoy a hands-on role within a busy construction-focused environment, we would like to hear from you.
