Steel Fixers – Major Rail & London Underground Projects

ISS Ltd is recruiting experienced Steel Fixers for upcoming work across major rail and London Underground projects throughout London.

We are looking for skilled Steel Fixers with previous experience working in rail, infrastructure or similar major construction environments to join our workforce ahead of projects commencing within the next couple of months.

This is intended to provide ongoing, regular work across different ISS Ltd projects rather than a single short-term placement.

The Work

Duties will vary depending on the project but are expected to include:

Cutting, bending and fixing reinforcement steel

Reading and working from drawings and schedules

*

Positioning and securing steel reinforcement

*

Tying rebar and reinforcement

*

Working safely within major infrastructure and rail environments

*

Coordinating with other trades and site management

*

Maintaining a high standard of workmanship and site safety

Shifts will consist of a mixture of midweek days and nights, depending on project requirements.

Requirements

Applicants should have:

Valid PTS

*

BTA competency/training

*

Proven Steel Fixing experience

*

Experience on rail, London Underground, infrastructure or major construction projects

*

Ability to work from drawings and specifications

*

Good awareness of site and rail safety

*

Flexibility to undertake both day and night shifts

*

A reliable and professional approach to work

BTA is required for these projects. ISS Ltd may be able to provide BTA training for suitable experienced operatives who do not currently hold it.

Pay & Projects

Rates are £26.00–£32.00 per hour, dependent on the applicable shift/project.

Payment will be Umbrella PAYE only.

Work is expected to begin within the next couple of months, with regular ongoing opportunities planned across different major rail and LU projects throughout London.
