Are you a Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, Paramedic or Pharmacist looking to step away from frontline pressures while continuing to use your clinical expertise?

As a Functional Assessor, you'll use your clinical knowledge, assessment skills and professional judgement to understand how an individual's health conditions or disabilities affect their daily living, mobility and functional ability, depending on whether you're completing PIP or WCA assessments.

No nights. No weekends. No bank holidays. No hands-on care.

The Role:

* You'll conduct structured assessments through telephone, video and face-to-face consultations.

* Take detailed clinical histories using structured questioning

* Explore the impact of physical, mental and cognitive conditions

* Assess how health conditions affect daily living, mobility and functional ability

* Review medical evidence and supporting information

* Produce clear, accurate and evidence-based reports

* Manage your own caseload while meeting quality standards and deadlines

This role is focused on assessment, evidence evaluation, clinical reasoning and report writing rather than treatment or hands-on care.

What We're Looking For:

* Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, Paramedic or Pharmacist

* Active NMC, HCPC or GPhC registration

* Minimum 12 months' post-registration clinical experience

* Strong clinical assessment and reasoning skills

* Confident communication skills

* Good report-writing ability

* Strong IT and organisational skills

* Able to analyse information and make evidence-based decisions

* £45,000 increasing to £47,000 after 12 months (PIP)

* £48,000 increasing to £49,000 after 12 months (WCA)

Full Training Provided

You don't need previous Functional Assessor experience.

You'll receive structured, fully paid training covering assessment methodology, evidence evaluation, clinical reasoning and report writing, helping you transfer your existing clinical experience into a new assessment-focused career.
