The Role – WCA Functional Assessor

As a WCA Functional Assessor, you'll use your clinical knowledge, assessment skills and professional judgement to assess how an individual's health conditions or disabilities affect their ability to work and undertake work-related activities.

You'll be responsible for:

Carrying out structured assessments by telephone, video and face-to-face.
Reviewing medical evidence and taking detailed clinical histories.
Exploring how physical and mental health conditions affect functional ability.
Applying clinical reasoning and professional judgement.
Producing clear, accurate and evidence-based reports.There is no hands-on care, diagnosing or treating patients. Instead, you'll use the clinical skills you've developed throughout your career in a new professional environment.

Active NMC or HCPC registration.
Minimum 12 months' post-registration clinical experience.
Strong communication and clinical reasoning skills.
Confidence carrying out assessments and documenting clinical information.
The ability to work independently and manage your workload.Salary: £42,000 increasing to £43,000
Location: Weymouth – Hybrid
