This is a brilliant opportunity for a driven, enthusiastic Stock Assistant at the start of their career to join a growing, very established local organisation where there will be excellent prospects for advancement.

Some of your duties will include:

- Maintaining accurate stock records on computer system and recording details of all stock movement

- Reconciling goods received against purchase orders and booking onto the stock control system

- Raising purchase orders and placing orders with suppliers based in the UK, EU and Far East

- Checking supplier invoices received and confirming costs against original quotations

- Tracking purchase order progress, making sure critical path is followed and delivery schedules are achieved

- Liaising with relevant Freight Forwarders to co-ordinate the import of new stock into the UK
