Stock Condition Surveyor

Castlefield Recruitment are currently working with a housing association who are looking for a Stock Condidition Surveyor to join their team.

The role:

• Carry out in-depth property inspections to evaluate the condition of housing stock, highlighting key issues, potential hazards, and opportunities for improvement.
• Develop clear, well-structured reports outlining findings, with practical recommendations for both short-term repairs and long-term maintenance planning.
• Take an active role in promoting safe, quality housing by ensuring compliance with the Decent Homes Standard, the Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS),
• Partner closely with internal teams to drive the delivery of maintenance solutions and ensure timely resolution of identified issues.
• Stay informed on evolving regulations and best practices within the housing sector to maintain high standards and support continuous service enhancement.

Experience required:

• Qualified in building or construction with a recognised credential such as a BSc (Hons) in Building Surveying or an HNC in Building Studies.
• Extensive hands-on experience in stock condition surveying on residential properities
  
• Exceptional analytical and diagnostic skills, with a strong ability to assess property conditions and propose effective, evidence-based solutions.
• Confident and articulate communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, capable of building strong relationships with colleagues, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Highly self-reliant yet collaborative, able to manage individual workloads while contributing effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Skilled in the use of industry-standard surveying and reporting tools, with a solid grasp of relevant digital platforms and technologies.
• Holds a full UK driving licence and is fully flexible to travel throughout the Northwest region.
