Salary: £35,000 per annum

Overview:

First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Stock Controller on behalf of one of our clients.

To manage the accurate and timely movement of goods into, through and out of the company. As part of this the role is required to be the guardian of all inventory items and manage them in a way that maximises usage and minimises operational down time.

Duties and Responsibilities for the Stock Controller:

• Management of all produce and non-produce stock to maximise value.
• Allocation of correct/most appropriate stock to each task.
• Follow instructions with precision, leading to an error-free work environment and completion of the task.
• The ability of focusing on the overall vision and macro-level aspects of a decision or project.
• Accurately following the process from importing stock to exporting stock.
• Audit produce stock sheet accuracy against actuals and risk assessed stock counting.
• Investigate all stock discrepancies to establish root cause and corrective actions.
• Manage all inbound deliveries and allocation of warehousing space.
• Track and record all relevant data.
• Communication and control of incoming traffic flow.
• Performance monitoring incoming transport agreements.
• Risk assessed stock counts based on stock sheet.
• Managing issues in production relating to raw material specifications.
• Chair daily operation huddle.
• Full forensic stock assessment, based on stock sheet with actions and recommendations.
• Report and review on accounted stock loss and unaccounted stock loss.
• Review and implementation of storage plans against incoming volume and stock holding.

Skills and Qualifications for the Stock Controller:

• Previous experience in a similar role.
• Organised, methodical and detail orientated.
• Capable of risk assessing situations and managing own resource to add value.
• Able to prioritise an often-conflicting workload.
• Understand how to complete an accurate stock count in a fast-moving environment.
• Able to understand an issue, articulate a resolution and establish and implement a corrective action.
• Show resilience in a high pressure, time sensitive environment.
• Capable of capturing, inputting and analysing multiple data sources simultaneously.
• Be able to follow issues through to their conclusion.
• Ability to manage relationships at all levels with external customer teams and internally within the Business.
• To communicate at all levels of the Business confidently and clearly and directly with customers at a formal and informal level.
• Logical and methodical, with an ability to prioritise.
• Able to make balanced and considered decisions often based on a host of information from diverse sources.

Salary: £35,000 per annum
