Storeman – Overhead Crane Operative

Location: Middlesbrough
Pay Rate: £14.00 per hour basic
Overtime: Paid at 1.3x and 1.6x

The Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Storeman to join an established engineering company based in Middlesbrough. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a stable, ongoing position within a busy engineering environment.

The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience working in an engineering or manufacturing stores environment and must hold a valid overhead crane licence/certificate.

Key Responsibilities

Receiving, checking and storing incoming materials and equipment

*

Loading and unloading deliveries

*

Operating an overhead crane safely and efficiently

*

Moving heavy materials around the workshop and stores

Requirements

*

Previous experience working as a Storeman / Stores Operative, preferably within an engineering or manufacturing environment

*

Valid overhead crane licence/certificate

*

Experience handling heavy materials

*

Good understanding of workplace health & safety
