Stores Operative

We are seeking a Stores Operative to join our successful and expanding Manufacturing and Engineering company. This role is ideal for someone who is hands-on and enjoys a dynamic work environment. The position involves a variety of tasks including pick and packing, stock control, and quality checking, making it perfect for individuals who thrive in versatile roles.

• Handling goods in and out, ensuring efficient processing and storage.
• Operating forklifts, specifically Counterbalance, to manage materials and products.
• Managing delivery notes and ensuring accurate record-keeping.
• Examining drawings and dimensions to ensure specifications are met.
• Conducting stock control to maintain inventory levels and ensure availability of materials.
• Performing quality checks on products to ensure high standards are met.
• Conducting damage checks to prevent and address any issues.
• Operating and working with various machinery in a production setting.
• Assisting in other departments as needed to support overall operations.

• Experience in a similar role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Forklift experience, specifically Counterbalance, is required.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with technical drawings and dimensions.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments.
• Flexible and adaptable, willing to assist in various tasks as needed.
