Job Description - Stores Operative

Holt Engineering are looking for a skilled and experienced Stores Operative to join our client in Bournemouth, this role is straight permanent and can offer an immediate start.

You will be working for a well established Engineering company so previous experience as a Stores Operative within an Engineering/ Manufacturing environment is imperative. You will be assisting various departments across the business handling raw materials as well as finished goods, liaising with purchasing and contracts departments to ensure correct materials and parts are in stock for work orders due.

This position is working a day shift with an early finish on Friday and paying up to £25k

The key duties for the successful Stores Operativewill be:

Booking in raw materials and finished goods through MRP systems
Putting stock in to correct locations
Preparing and issuing kits
Manoeuvring stock using Counterbalance forklift or manual handling equipment
Scheduling of jobs and loading work orders in a timely manner.
Raising purchase orders
Managing stock levels and ensuring materials are ready and available for next orders.

Requirements to be considered for this Stores Operative role:

Previous experience within an Engineering Materials/ Logistics position is essential
Counterbalance Forklift licence
Strong computer skills and able to use MRP systems
Great attitude towards learning and continuous improvement
