Stores Operator

Role: Stores Operator
Location: Lewes, East Sussex
Hours: 40 hours per week (Monday - Friday, flexible hours between 7:00am - 4:00pm)
Pay: £25,501 per annum, increasing to £27,222 after successful probation

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Stores Operator to join one of our growing clients, an innovative and globally recognised manufacturer in Lewes.

The Requirements:

• Physically fit to lift and transport items safely
• Certified Forklift Operator (Counterbalance)
• Skilled in operating forklifts, pallet stackers, and pallet trucks
• Confident using computer systems and performing data entry tasks
• Capable of maintaining accurate records and performing stock control checks
• Demonstrates clear and courteous communication across all levels
• Familiar with working in warehouse and goods in environments
• Attentive to detail and able to work independently or collaboratively
• Proactive, adaptable, and aware of health and safety responsibilities

The Role:

• Ensure accurate and timely picking, locating and kitting of stock
• Manage deliveries and returns, ensuring quality and correctness
• Log stock movements using the internal business system
• Take part in improvement meetings and contribute to efficiency drives
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment
• Build strong working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders
• Support production operations when required
• Adhere to company procedures and health & safety guidelines at all times
