The Flavour Network is partnered with an established drinks manufacturing business to recruit a proactive and organised Stores Person.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a business that has recently implemented a new MRP system and is entering the next phase of its growth. The successful candidate fpr the Stores Person will play a key role in establishing robust stores processes, improving stock accuracy, supporting audits, and ensuring the warehouse operates efficiently.
Working within a 10,000 sq ft warehouse, this is a varied, hands-on role that extends beyond traditional stores duties. You'll also work closely with the manufacturing team to help ensure production runs smoothly and customer orders are fulfilled on time.
This is a dynamic position where no two days are the same. You'll be responsible for maintaining an organised and efficient stores operation while supporting manufacturing activities as business demands.
Key Responsibilities for the Stores Person
* Manage the day-to-day operation of the stores and warehouse.
* Receive, inspect and book in deliveries using the MRP system.
* Pick and issue raw materials to the manufacturing team.
* Maintain accurate stock records and inventory levels.
* Support the development and maintenance of new warehouse procedures following the MRP implementation.
* Assist with stock audits, cycle counts and continuous inventory improvements.
* Ensure products and materials are stored safely and efficiently.
* Maintain excellent housekeeping standards throughout the warehouse.
* Support goods in, goods out and dispatch activities.
* Assist the manufacturing team during busy production periods.
* Identify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency, stock control and working practices.
* Work in line with Health & Safety and Food Safety procedures.
Essential Requirements for the Stores Person
* Previous experience in a Stores, Warehouse or Stock Control role.
* Experience using an MRP, ERP or warehouse management system.
* Excellent attention to detail and stock accuracy.
* Good IT skills.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks.
* A proactive, hands-on approach and willingness to support different areas of the business.
* Good communication and teamwork skills.
* Desirable Requirements for the Stores Person
* Experience within food, drink, FMCG or manufacturing.
* Counterbalance Forklift Licence.
* Experience supporting stock audits and inventory management.
* Knowledge of GMP, HACCP or food manufacturing standards.
