Dutton Recruitment (Sheffield Engineering) are currently recruiting:

We are looking for a Stores person for a permanent position based with our client in the Nottingham area.

Immediate start (subject to interview process)

Rate of pay £14.50 per hour for basic hours

The Role:

Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, this role is a essential link between the Purchasing Department, Warehouse and Manufacturing Departments, making sure all raw materials, components and finished stock are quality checked, and booked into the system. They will also ensure orders are picked, packed, quality checked and shipped to the customer on time.

Key Responsibilities

Manage all 'Goods in' paperwork and system processes for internal and external supply of
Finished goods
Raw materials / Components
Subcontractor assembly and any free issued material
Process all returns inbound and outbound
Supplier returns
Subcontractor excess and damaged material
Perform quality inspection for goods inwards, in line with existing processes and procedures outlined by Supply Chain Manager
Prepare stock deliveries and collections from subcontractor's
Ensure all product booked in the system is correctly part numbered and labelled
Support the annual company stock check, including preparation work
Prevent / resolve invoice queries relating to purchase ordersResponsibilities

Liaise with Supply Chain Team on put away of finished product and investigate stock discrepancies
Liaise with Production Manager on raw material, WIP location and stock discrepancies
Setup clearly defined stock control procedures and processes to support production and supply chain team operating efficiently
On a weekly/monthly basis review store capacities and propose action where required for movement of stock
Promote total quality management and continuous Improvement in the warehouse and stores area.The Person

To be considered for this role, you must have:

Experience in stock management, warehousing and inventory control ERP systems. (essential)
Knowledge of steel fabrication, sheet metal and turned parts or components (essential)
Forklift license (essential)
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft packages - intermediate Excel skills (essential)
A continuous improvement mindset and experience in warehouse improvement projects (desirable)
Experience of Export documents & commercial invoices (desirable)You must also possess

Strong communication skills
Ability to priorities workload and multitask
Accurate and methodical
Driving licenseAdditional Requirements:

Willingness to obtain SC Clearance (company-funded if not already held)
