Pay: £13.34 per hour (dependent on experience)

Hours: Guaranteed 37.5 hours per week

Shift Pattern: Monday–Friday, day shift (flexibility on start times)

Overtime: Voluntary overtime available

As a Stores Person, you’ll play a vital role in keeping our modern fleet on the road. By ensuring the right parts are available at the right time, you’ll directly support our engineering teams to maintain safe, reliable bus services for our customers.

What you’ll be doing

• Managing a busy depot stores function as part of the engineering team
• Ordering parts from contracted suppliers
• Controlling and maintaining accurate stock levels
• Booking in deliveries and issuing parts to engineers
• Completing associated administration and inventory record keeping
• Supporting part availability to ensure fleet repair and servicing schedules are met
• Undertaking some manual handling as part of day-to-day duties
• Your role is essential in helping us deliver safe, reliable services across the communities we serve.

What we’re looking for

• Reliable, organised and proactive approach
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to identify issues and suggest practical solutions
• Basic IT skills (Outlook, Excel and Word)
• Willingness to learn our ordering and inventory management systems
• Experience in stores, logistics, engineering or automotive environments (desirable but not essential)
• Full UK driving licence (highly desirable)
• If you’ve got the right attitude and willingness to learn, we’ll provide the training you need.
