Stores Supervisor

Futures are looking to appoint a Stores Supervisor with experience working for an SME manufacturing company. Our client is a growing manufacturing business based in Wakefield looking to expand their team. The successful Stores Supervisor will be responsible for managing goods in/goods out, developing existing processes to improve function of the store room, and take responsibility for general housekeeping amongst other duties.

* Sound knowledge of good working practice relating to Health & Safety Regulations
* Excellent I.T. skills with knowledge of stock systems
* Great organisation skills and good attention to detail
* You will be a confident communicator both written and verbal, good at multitasking, and be comfortable working independently and as part of a team
* Experience managing a small team and delegating
* Demonstrable experience of working in a similar role within an engineering/manufacturing environment is essential

Stores Supervisor - Skills and Abilities - Goods in / Goods out / Stock Control / Purchasing / Manufacturing

* You will be required to take responsibility for supporting the development of the stores function and improving existing processes
* Issue components/kits for works orders ensuring they are in the correct location
* Conduct periodic stock taking activities
* Provide assistance and support to purchasing dept. by placing orders when required and providing cover for holidays and absence
* Manual handling of goods
* Ability to manage and be hands on in both stores role and facilities.
* Deal with stock requisitions from the shop floor and issue as appropriate
* Implement a more visual and standard stock management system
