Our client, a well-established company specialising in electrical and mechanical systems, is on the lookout for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Stores Operative/Storesperson to join their dynamic team!

The Role
As a Storesperson/Stores Operative, you will play a crucial role in the daily operations of a busy stores and warehouse function. Your hands-on approach will ensure that materials are managed accurately and delivered efficiently to support production.

Key Responsibilities

Receive & Inspect Deliveries: Check incoming goods against purchase orders to ensure accuracy.
Inventory Management: Book goods into internal systems and maintain precise stock records.
Organised Storage: Safely store materials with clear labelling and systematic organisation.
Production Support: Pick and prepare kits for production according to build schedules.
Stock Checks: Conduct regular inventory checks to aid in effective stock control.
Despatch Preparation: Pack and prepare goods for despatch, ensuring they are ready for delivery.
Safe Loading & Unloading: Use appropriate equipment to load and unload deliveries.
Maintain Cleanliness: Ensure a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
Team Collaboration: Support production and engineering teams with material needs.Key Requirements

Previous experience in a stores, warehouse, or stock control role.
Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
Ability to thrive both independently and as part of a team.
Comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
Basic IT skills (stock systems/Microsoft Office).
Good communication skills.Desirable Skills

Forklift licence (Counterbalance).
Experience in a manufacturing or engineering setting.
Knowledge of goods in/goods out processes.
Familiarity with handling electrical or mechanical components.What's on Offer
