Structural Designer

This is a flexible, remote opportunity offering approximately 20-30 hours of work per week, making it well suited to someone looking for an adaptable contract alongside other commitment.

The Role

You'll produce detailed structural designs for steel structures within the rail sector, using Tekla to develop accurate models and drawings in line with project requirements.

The work will be relatively ad hoc, so you'll need to be comfortable working independently and responding flexibly as design requirements develop.

What We're Looking For

Tekla proficiency
Background in structural steel detailing and fabrication
Previous experience working on rail projects
Good understanding of steel structures and associated design requirements
Ability to produce accurate technical models and drawings
Confidence working independently in a remote environment
Flexibility to support a variable project workload

What's on Offer

The initial contract will run for three months, with approximately 20-30 hours available per week at a rate of £28-£33 per hour.

Remote working is available, and applications can also be considered from suitably experienced professionals based outside the UK.
