Structural Engineer

Our client is seeking to employ an enthusiastic Structural Engineer on a permanent basis in their Leeds office.

This multi-disciplinary award consultancy have a dedicated team that have

an enviable track record in new build buildings including hotel complexes, mixed use schemes, residential and retail projects.

The Structural and Civil Engineering division aims to deliver a quality service and approach characterised by a willingness to be open minded and innovative; consistently producing considered, economic and well engineered solutions.

Job Description

Ideally applicants will have at least 3 years industry experience. Applicants should be bright, switched on, technically competent engineers looking to go places. Applicants who have ambitions of becoming Chartered asap will be looked upon favorably.

The candidate should be able to:

• Prepare structural calculations and specifications in line with BS and Eurocode design codes
• Liaise with internal and external contacts to determine project requirements
• Ensure projects are completed to agreed budgets and timescales
• Complete efficient design using steel, masonry, timber and concrete

In addition, the candidate should have:

• Educated to degree level in a relevant engineering field
• An understanding of soil mechanics and foundation design
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Have the ability to harmoniously work as part of a team

This position is currently vacant due to an increase in workload and they can accommodate an immediate start for the right candidate. Salary is dependent on experience but will be attractive
