Structural Steel Project Manager
Location: Norfolk County, MA (Projects Nationwide) Job Type: Full-Time | Travel Required
Salary: $115,000-150,000
A growing and well-established construction firm is seeking an experienced Structural Steel Project Manager to lead fabrication and erection projects across the U.S. This is a high-impact role with full project ownership—from planning through closeout—working alongside a strong operations and field team.

What You’ll Be Doing
Project Leadership
Take full responsibility for structural steel projects from kickoff through completion
Coordinate closely with operations, field leadership, and fabrication teams
Planning & Execution
Develop and maintain project schedules
Support operational planning and ensure alignment with field execution
Oversee erection sequencing and coordination
Budget & Cost Control
Manage project budgets, forecasts, and billing
Track and negotiate change orders and extra work
Monitor cost performance and projections
Communication
Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, subcontractors, and suppliers
Manage all project correspondence and documentation
Quality & Safety
Ensure all work meets plans, specifications, and company standards
Partner with safety leadership to uphold jobsite safety expectations
Team Development
Lead, mentor, and develop project staff
Delegate effectively and promote accountability across the team
What You Bring
10+ years of project management experience in structural steel (fabrication and erection required)
Strong understanding of steel construction methods, sequencing, and coordination
Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and field operations simultaneously
Effective communicator who can lead teams and build relationships with clients and partners
Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
