Key Responsibilities:
Accurately price new customer enquiries for structural steel, secondary steel, and architectural metalwork projects.
Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates.
Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotations and ensure competitive pricing.
Collaborate with the sales and project management teams to develop competitive and profitable bids.
Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, materials, and market trends.
Provide detailed cost breakdowns and reports to management.
Key Requirements:
Proven experience as an Estimator in the structural steel, secondary steel, or architectural metalwork sectors.
Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
Proficient in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
