Structural Technician : Kendal, Cumbria

MacArthur Recruitment are seeking a Structural Technician to work with a successful company who have offices in the Kendal / South Lakes area, near good motorway connections. This is a varied role working on large and small projects, with a variety of customers.
New build, schools, health sector, housing, commercial and various other interesting sectors.
This company have a great track record in staff development, progress and retention. There is flexibility on experience requirements for this role â from early in your career to senior level.
Some responsibilities for the role of Structural Technician :
- Production of drawings and technical information using both AutoCAD and REVIT platforms
- Produce detailing in structural steelwork, concrete and masonry
- Delivering a variety of information including, but not limited to GAâs, Sections, RC Detailing, Drainage and Structures.
- Working within company BIM protocols and standards within defined project timescale
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
(Senior or Principal Technicians will also have additional responsibilities including:
Managing other technicians to ensure the delivery of design information within defined project timescales
Developing relationships with clients and other professionals with the aim of identifying and securing new job opportunities.)
Experience requirements for the role of Structural Technician :
- Qualified up to a minimum of BTEC Level 3 (or Equivalent)
- Fully competent in AutoCAD.
- Revit Structural modelling experience
- Good level of technical competence and good understanding of building structures and structural/civil engineering.
- RC detailing and scheduling experience.
- Be working towards or a desire to work towards TIStructE and EngTech status.
- Have an excellent eye for detail
- Good communicator and team player
