Structural Technician £40,000 - £45,000 Somerset Steel Fabrication Full Time, Permanent
Are you an experienced Structural Technician with a strong background in structural steel or architectural metalwork? Would you enjoy working for a family-run steel fabrication business, delivering a varied range of projects across the Southwest?
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a company that has been established for over 70 years, where you will get the chance to work on structural steelwork projects across the retail, agricultural, industrial and education sectors.
This role would suit a streuctural technician with a strong understanding of structural design principles and experience producing structural models and technical drawings using either Revit or Tekla Structures. Candidates with experience in structural steelwork, cladding systems or wider building structures will be particularly well suited to the position. The successful applicant will work closely with engineers, project managers and manufacturing teams to ensure the accurate delivery of projects from design through to construction.
Key Responsibilities:
Produce accurate 3D models and technical drawings using Revit and/or Tekla Structures Generate GA drawings, fabrication details and construction information where required Interpret structural design information and translate it into detailed technical models Coordinate with engineers, project managers and production teams throughout project delivery Support the development and detailing of structural steelwork and associated building elements Ensure all drawings and models are completed accurately and in accordance with project requirements Attend client and site meetings when required Assist with the successful delivery of projects to programme deadlines Experience Required:
Experience working as a Structural Technician, CAD Technician or similar Proficiency in Revit and/or Tekla Structures Strong understanding of structural design and construction principles Experience producing structural drawings and 3D models Ability to interpret engineering and technical design information Strong communication and coordination skills Experience working within project deadlines and design programmesIf you are interested in this role, please contact Annie Parker or click Apply to submit your CV for consideration.
