The Structuring and M&A Tax Manager is responsible for providing tax support to both Group and Local stakeholders with a focus on M&A, structuring and financing projects. Reporting to the Head of Structuring and M&A Tax, the role holder will offer tax support and advice to business stakeholders on both UK and international tax aspects of M&A, structuring and financing projects. Under the guidance of the Head of Structuring and M&A Tax, the role will involve planning and implementing various projects across the group, as well as ensuring a robust control environment to accurately capture the relevant tax considerations for compliance and reporting purposes. The role encompasses a variety of UK and international tax advisory skills, including the application of international tax law and excellent project management skills. Strong interpersonal and business partnering skills are key for establishing and maintaining good working relations with stakeholders, as well as good communication skills to be able to clearly communicate complex tax considerations. The role is ideal for someone with experience in an international tax role in Industry or at one of the ‘Top 10' accountancy firms. Whilst relevant experience is important, the ability to influence stakeholders across the business, a willingness to drive projects and deal with issues to conclusion, good interpersonal skills and a desire to grow and develop in this dynamic and fast moving tax department are vital for this candidate. Tax structuring -Implements efficient tax strategies to mitigate taxes on structuring and financing projects. M&A activity - Implements appropriate strategies for M&A deals to achieve commercial objectives in a tax efficient manner. Tax advice - Provide clear tax advice to relevant group and local teams. Tax knowledge sharing - Engages in knowledge sharing across the tax community. Reporting and compliance - Inputs into reporting and compliance work associated with related Group transactions and activities. ACA/ACCA/CTA qualification International corporate tax experience (including application of Double Tax Treaties, foreign tax regimes etc.) gained over 3 years in an accountancy firm or in industry Ability to work effectively across multi-disciplinary teams Self-motivated and hard-working, with a proven track-record of meeting deadlines. Good awareness of general accounting principles Good written, presentation and communication skills
