Student Fees Adviser (Temporary) Start Date: 24th August 2026 End Date: 16th October 2026 Pay Rate: £13.45 Fully onsite for training (1-2 weeks) then x1 a month on campus Milton Keynes, MK7 6AA Full-time, 37hrs per week: Monday-Friday working pattern, 9:00am-5:00pm (4:30pm finish on Fridays).
Do you have a background in customer service and administration? Are you confident speaking with customers over the phone and helping them navigate processes? If so, we would love to hear from you. We are looking for Student Fees Advisers to join The Open University's Student Fees team, supporting a new project that helps students understand their funding options and complete their applications successfully.
Duties: Supporting students with their fee and funding applications, via phone. Guiding students through the application process and explaining eligibility requirements. Completing administrative tasks and updating student records accurately on the CRM systems. Managing call-backs and responding to enquiries within agreed service levels. Handling confidential information securely and in line with data protection requirements. Working closely with colleagues to deliver an excellent student experience. Supporting the team with any additional administrative tasks.Requirements: Comfortable and confident speaking with customers over the phone and building rapport. Excellent communication skills. Previous experience in an office environment providing customer service and administration support. Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail. Confident using Microsoft Office and CRM systems. Able to work accurately in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities.
