We are looking for an organised and proactiveStudio Operations Managerto join Blazing Griffin Games in Glasgow. Sitting at the centre of the studio, you will be the person who keeps everything running—supporting our team, solving day-to-day challenges, and making sure the studio operates smoothly across HR, finance, IT, facilities, and suppliers. Working closely with studio leadership and our Group HR Manager, Group Finance Manager, and Group COO, you’ll play a key role in shaping how the studio functions and helping create an environment where the team can do their best work.
Whilst the role is being offered on a permanent full-time basis (35 hours per week), we can be flexible over total hours and shift pattern.
Key Responsibilities
Studio Operations & Facilities
Lead the smooth running of the Glasgow studio, including facilities, health & safety, and day-to-day studio needs
Coordinate IT support for on-site and remote staff, working with internal and external providers
Manage equipment procurement, asset tracking, and general studio resources
Identify opportunities to improve how the studio operates and help implement them
HR
Support day-to-day HR administration including recruitment coordination, onboarding, appraisals, and offboarding
Work alongside the Group HR Manager on employee-related HR matters
Manage contractor and freelancer administration, including compliance processes (IR35)
Help support the wellbeing of both in-office and remote team members
Finance
Support with day-to-day financial processes including purchase orders, invoicing, and expenses
Support the coordination of milestone and contractor payments, working alongside the Group Finance Manager and CFO
Maintain accurate and well-organised financial records
Legal & Contracts
Maintain the studio's contracts register, tracking key dates, obligations, and renewals.
Coordinate with the Group COO and external legal partners where needed
Accounts & Supplier Management
Act as a key point of contact for studio suppliers and service providers
Manage account renewals, licence administration, and day-to-day vendor communications

We are looking for someone who is organised, dependable, and takes pride in keeping things running smoothly. This role suits someone who enjoys working across a variety of areas, balancing people, process, and practical problem-solving at the heart of a busy studio.
Experience
Experience in an operations, studio management, office management, or similar business support role, ideally within a games, creative, or tech environment
Proven experience managing a range of responsibilities across areas such as HR administration, finance administration, facilities, or supplier management
Experience supporting day-to-day HR processes, including onboarding, offboarding, and recruitment coordination
Experience handling financial administration such as purchase orders, invoicing, and expenses
Experience liaising with external suppliers or service providers
Skills & Knowledge
Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and keep day-to-day operations running smoothly
Strong attention to detail and a high standard of administrative accuracy
Comfortable working across different functions, including HR, finance, IT, and facilities
Confident communicator, able to build effective working relationships with colleagues, senior stakeholders, and external partners
Proactive and practical, with a “get things done” approach to problem-solving
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office or Google Workspace, and familiarity with common administrative systems
A clear understanding of confidentiality and appropriate handling of sensitive information
Desirable
Experience working in a games studio or creative/production environment
Familiarity with HR systems and processes
Experience coordinating IT support or managing equipment and asset registers
Exposure to contracts administration or maintaining compliance trackers
Understanding of contractor management, including IR35
Experience supporting facilities management or health & safety processes
