Job Description - Subcontractor Engagement & Recruitment Officer - Hybrid Working - £32,000pa

Our client based in Birmingham are looking for a confident, people-focused communicator to help manage and grow their network of subcontractors as their Subcontractor Engagement & Recruitment Officer . This is a newly created role which blends elements of recruitment, relationship building and field-based engagement which will be perfect for someone who enjoys meeting people, presenting and solving problems.

You won’t be sourcing CVs or doing cold sales, this role is about keeping the subcontractor network active, engaged and making sure they are supported.

This role offers hybrid working and would suit candidates with agency or in-house recruitment experience, or in a very client facing role, someone who is comfortable presenting, running small workshops and meeting sub-contractors face-to-face and someone who is a confident communicator who can build trust.

Your key responsibilities as Subcontractor Engagement & Recruitment Officer will include:

-Welcome and onboard new subcontractors, ensuring they are set up and understand company processes, systems and industry guidelines.

-Maintaining regular communication and re-engaging subcontractors who’ve become inactive.

-Supporting occasional in person workshops and roadshows to boost engagement.

-Be a friendly and professional point of contact for subcontractor queries.

-Negotiate job offer terms between clients and subcontractors.

-Gather feedback and report recurring issues to management to help improve retention.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, previous experience in recruitment, field based engagement or contractor coordination, good organisational and admin skills (familiar with MS Office) and someone who is comfortable working independently but is also a team player. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is required for this role for occasional travel requirements.

The salary on offer is £28,000 - £32,000 per annum dependent on experience, plus a benefits package which includes hybrid working, 24 days holiday (increasing with service) plus bank holidays and an additional day off for your birthday.
