Sub/Main Assembly Fitter

Fitters Required - Coalville
Pay: Up to £15.00 per hour depending on experience
Temporary, temp-to-perm or permanent opportunities available

Hours:
Monday to Thursday: 07:30 to 16:30
Friday: 07:30 to 12:30

I'm currently recruiting for multiple experienced Fitters to support an upcoming project with a busy and well-established manufacturing business based in Coalville.

This is a great opportunity for someone with strong mechanical fitting experience who is confident working in an engineering, manufacturing or heavy machinery environment.

The role will involve:

Mechanical fitting of heavy machinery and equipment

Working within a production line environment

Reading and understanding bespoke engineering drawings

Using hand and power tools safely and effectively

Working with hydraulics and mechanical components

Working to tight tolerances, limits and fits

Supporting the safe movement of production parts

Meeting production targets while maintaining quality standards

Following health and safety guidelines at all times

The ideal candidate will have:

Previous mechanical fitting experience

Experience working with hydraulics

Experience within engineering, manufacturing, plant, machinery or heavy equipment

Ability to read and understand engineering drawings

Experience using hand and power tools

Good mechanical skills and problem-solving ability

Ability to work with minimal supervision

Good communication skills

Strong health and safety awareness

Experience with crushing equipment, screening equipment, plant machinery, agricultural machinery, construction equipment or similar heavy machinery would be a strong advantage.

Experience operating overhead cranes or jib cranes would also be beneficial.

An understanding of lean manufacturing principles or 5S would be advantageous but is not essential.
