About the role

As a Subsurface Data Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the acquisition, storage, and integration of subsurface data to support exploration and production activities. You will conduct data quality assessments and enforce data standards, deliver and maintain well and seismic data management services, and provide data quality control and synchronization across multiple projects and corporate repositories. You will also maintain data inventories, optimize data while applying agreed standards, and support geoscience colleagues by leading and participating in establishing data management practices and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overseeing acquisition, storage, and integration of subsurface data.
  • Conducting data quality assessments and enforcing data standards.
  • Delivering and maintaining well & seismic data management services for E&P application projects and corporate databases.
  • Providing data quality control, assuring synchronization with multiple projects and corporate repositories.
  • Maintaining data inventories, regularly optimizing data, and applying agreed data standards.
  • Supporting colleagues in geoscience disciplines and leading or participating in establishing data management practices and procedures.

  • Subsurface Data Management Experience: Proven experience in managing subsurface data within exploration and production contexts.
  • Experience of the following applications - Petrel, OpenWorks, Recall
  • Data Integration and Workflow Automation: Experience in integrating data and automating workflows to enhance efficiency.
  • Data Governance and Security Protocols: Knowledge of data governance and security protocols to ensure data protection and compliance.
  • Stakeholder Communication and Collaboration: Strong ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Can adopt a proactive and coordinated approach in identifying anomalies, areas of concern and resolving problems in a timely and effective manner.
  • Knowledge of Geoscience and Drilling workflows. 

It would be great if you also had:

  • Knowledge of Power BI
