Job Description: Summer Camp Teachers (English language EFL, Arts, Sciences), Ruthin, North Wales
Position: Teaching staff
Location: Ruthin School, Ruthin, North Wales
Dates:
1-4 weeks during July 6th – August 3rd
Overview:
Ruthin Education is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic staff for our upcoming summer camps at Ruthin School. Our bespoke programs are designed for international students aged 11-18 with a focus on arts, sciences, English language, British culture, and outdoor activities. We are looking for passionate individuals who can contribute to a dynamic and engaging summer experience for our students.

Benefits:
Salary Negotiable, starting from £24 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
All meals and accommodation (if required)
are provided free of charge.
Working hours:
Either 3.5 hours of teaching (with a break) in the morning 0900-1230 only, or teaching + relevant activities for the whole day from 0900-1700, with two tea breaks and lunch break.
Positions Available:
Arts Teacher x 2
Responsibilities:
2-3 mornings per week , teaching groups of 8-15 students
Teach a couple of art subjects including but not limited to design, textile/fashion, fine art, graphic design, history of art, street art, and comics.
Engage students in creative projects and encourage artistic expression.
(Optional) Plan, organise and supervise art-related activities and visits to local areas.
Science Teacher x 1-2
Responsibilities:
1-2 mornings a week, teaching groups of ~15 students
Teach science lessons focusing on engaging and interactive topics.
Inspire curiosity and interest in scientific subjects through hands-on experiments.
English language EFL teacher x 1-2
Responsibilities:
2-5 mornings per week , teaching groups of ~15 students
Teach non-native English speakers , speaking and writing skills. Blend in topics such as British culture and history.
Adapt lessons for children who speak English as a second language, including those with limited English proficiency.
Create a supportive and immersive English-speaking environment.
(Optional) Conduct local tours of Ruthin town, highlighting historical sites.
Requirements for All Positions:
Relevant qualifications and experience in the specific role, or working towards a full qualification in such roles.
We will conduct an enhanced DBS.
Strong interpersonal, communication skills and cultural awareness.
Ability to work with non-native English speakers
Commitment to the safety and well-being of students.
Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic camp environment.
