We are seeking an experienced Supervisor to join our team at a leading meat processing plant in Coleraine. This role involves working closely with the management team and reporting to the Team Leader. The successful candidate will coordinate operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and compliance with all regulatory standards.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Oversee the production process, prepare production sheets, and maintain appropriate stock levels.
• Ensure product quality and achieve yield targets.
• Communicate job expectations clearly and provide coaching to employees.
• Identify areas for improvement and innovate or adjust existing work procedures and practices.
• Liaise with the production manager regarding any arising issues.
• Enforce health and safety regulations within the production area.
• Comply with DARD, Beef labelling, and Environmental health regulations.
• Handle tasks such as packing, labelling, picking, and preparing orders.
• Maintain cleanliness in the work area and prepare stock for production.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and perform other duties as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Effective supervisory skills and techniques.
• Proven ability to direct and coordinate operations.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities based on business needs.
• Previous experience in a food production environment.
• Knowledge of food hygiene.
• Ability to perform manual handling duties.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Numeracy and literacy skills.
• Experience with picking/scanning technology.
• Flexible approach to working hours.

Desirable:

• Counterbalance fork truck licence.
• HACCP training.
• Basic Food Hygiene certificate.

• Monday & Wednesday: 10am - 8pm
• Tuesday & Thursday: 8am - 6pm
• Sunday: 1pm - 5pm
