Supplier Development Engineer

Rate: £43/hour (Umbrella Inside IR35) or £31.50/hour PAYE

Duration: 24-month contract (likely to extend)

Start: ASAP

Travel: UK mostly, with some European travel

We are actively looking for a Supplier Development Engineer to join a global automotive company based in Peterlee.

Supplier Development Engineers will collaborate with international teams, helping ensure the supplier network delivers high-quality materials and components to support global customers.

This is a key role focused on supplier quality, capability improvement, and material compliance, ensuring suppliers consistently meet manufacturing and regulatory standards.

Requirements:

* Degree in Engineering or similar or equivalent industry experience.

* Experience in industrial manufacturing environments.

* Strong understanding of supplier quality and supply chain processes.

* Knowledge of PPAP / APQP processes.

* Leadership and strong stakeholder communication.

* Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis
