Supplier Quality Engineer

Supplier Quality Engineer: Our client, a global engineering business, seek to appoint a Supplier Quality Engineer to join their expanding team. Supplier Quality Engineer - Role and Responsibilities

- Support the Quality and Procurement departments to implement quality strategy to a diverse and complex supplier base
- Supporting business system accreditations (primarily ISO9001) through the development of the supplier base performance
- Identify trends relating to supplier non conformances, generating and implementing projects to improve them
- Supporting the business closely regarding customer complaints
- Working cross functionally on New Product Development projects
- Production of quality control plans in line with customer requirements

Supplier Quality Engineer - Skills & Abilities

- Engineering background
- Proven track record in quality assurance and specifically supplier quality assurance
- Familiar with FMEA and Root Cause Analysis
- Ability to influence and challenge both existing and new suppliers in their current working practices
- In-depth knowledge of ISO9001
- Candidates with a Lead Auditor qualification would be preferred.
