Supplier Quality Engineer ‎

Job Title: Supplier Quality Engineer

Location: Dunfermline, Fife  

ROLE SUMMARY

Work in conjunction with other departments, including Supply Chain  and Engineering to embed and oversee an effective supplier management framework throughout the business. Supplier performance is regularly reported and timely corrective actions are implemented. Travel is required in this role, therefore the successful candidate must hold a full UK license and be willing to travel internationally and locally.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Provide Quality Assurance expertise to suppliers across all products.


• Drive supplier compliance with company requirements.


• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Engineering, and suppliers to monitor performance and implement corrective actions.


• Establish supplier quality goals using tools such as FMEA.


• Lead problem solving and root cause analysis activities.


• Drive continuous improvement using data analysis.


• Manage supplier audit schedules.


• Maintain supplier management processes.


• Manage supplier concessions and change requests.


• Lead supplier performance improvement projects (e.g. Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S).


• Promote a zero-defect mindset.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 

• Degree in Engineering/Science or equivalent experience.


• Knowledge of sampling plans and test methodologies.


• Experience with QMS (ISO 9001, ISO 13485, FDA regulations).


• Qualified internal auditor.


• Supplier quality experience.


• Root cause analysis skills.


• Strong communication and influencing skills.


• Ability to meet tight deadlines.


• Strong teamwork and organisational skills.


• Microsoft Office proficiency.


• Full UK driving license
