The successful candidate will support the implementation of the company's quality strategy, taking ownership of supplier quality and working closely with suppliers, Engineering, R&D and Manufacturing teams.
Monday - Thursday: 08:30 – 17:00
Friday: 08:30 – 15:30

The role of the Supplier Quality Engineer:
* Managing supplier quality complaints, returns and NCRs/SCARs.
* Investigating manufacturing rejects and determining whether materials/components meet specification.
* Monitoring supplier performance and incoming material quality.
* Conducting First Article Inspections (FAIs) and supporting new product/material introductions.
* Conducting initial and ongoing supplier audits.
* Managing supplier changes, including product changes and end-of-life situations.
* Working with Engineering and R&D on product development and engineering changes.
* Supporting the release of non-conforming materials following investigation and risk assessment.
* Producing regular quality reports, including defect trends and Pareto analysis.
* Supporting supplier development and continuous improvement activities.
* Creating and maintaining incoming goods inspection templates.
* Visiting suppliers when required to investigate quality issues and conduct audits
Experience of the Supplier Quality Engineer:
* 3+ years' experience in quality management within an industrial manufacturing/product development environment.
* Experience working directly with suppliers and managing quality issues.
* Knowledge of ISO 9001, with ISO 13485 and/or AS 9100 highly desirable.
* Experience with NCRs, SCARs, corrective actions, FAIs and supplier audits.
* A practical understanding of engineering and manufacturing processes.
* Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint Only candidates based in UK and eligible to work in UK are allowed
