The Role
This is an excellent Supplier Quality Engineer role, working for a company with a growing reputation in their field. The Supplier Quality Engineer will act as the link between internal teams (Engineering, Purchasing, Quality and Manufacturing) and external vendors, ensuring high-quality, reliable, and on-time delivery of components. Using prior experience of supplier development, vendor management, Lean manufacturing and ISO standards, the Supplier Quality Engineer will work hands-on with suppliers to carry out root cause analysis, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement across the supply chain.

The successful Supplier Quality Engineer will be based in the Cambridge and will be required to travel extensively across the UK, with some (though minimal) international travel; therefore, a full driving licence is essential.

• A relevant degree within Process, Manufacturing or Quality Engineering with prior commercial experience
• Experience in supplier and vendor quality management, with the ability to understand and interpret high-precision engineering drawings (micron-level experience advantageous)
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and ISO 9001; any knowledge of ISO 14001, APQP, PPAP or FMEA would be highly beneficial
