Junior Supply Chain Analyst – Southampton

Annual Salary: From £27,000

Hours/Days: 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 08:30-17:00

Location: Onsite initially. Working: Available after completion of full training

Our client is a distribution company for FMCG in food, beverages and wellness, who are seeking a Junior Supply Chain Analyst. This role is perfect for someone with a strong analytical background and a keen interest in supply chain and inventory management. Day-to-day of the role:

• Establish and maintain accurate inventory levels across a complex product range.
• Raise purchase orders and enquiries with suppliers from the UK, EU, and beyond.
• Investigate and resolve delivery discrepancies promptly.
• Review monthly forecasts, analyse historical demand, and stock data.
• Identify optimum stock holding levels for each SKU to maximise availability and minimise waste.
• Monitor product performance to identify trends and incorporate insights into forward forecasting.
• Coordinate monthly promotional activities, new brand launches, and product rollouts.
• Support the Buying Team with data analysis and performance reporting.
• Maintain strong communication links with key departments including Buying, Sales, Customer Services, Stock Control, and Finance.
• Manage and execute a variety of supply chain improvement projects.
• Perform other general duties as required or requested by your manager.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong analytical and numerical skills with a high level of attention to detail.
• Proficient in Excel and experienced in data reporting.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a desire to learn and grow.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining high standards.
