Location: Basildon, Essex

Salary: £45,000 - £48,000

A leading distrubutor within the FMCG industry are searching for a Supply Chain & Demand Planner to join their team.

Within this role there will be cross-functional collaboration to manage the supply chain operations. Working closely with, Logistics, Shipping and Warehouse teams. This role will leverage data from Marketing, sales, finance and retail partners to produce forecasts for product demand.

Demand Planning:

• Own and manage all forecasting activities related to assigned customers and product lines.
• Questioning the Sales forecast viability of the company provided by third party.
• Develop and refine statistical demand models using historical trends and data
• Integrate business intelligence and input from sales, marketing, finance, and retailer replenishment analysts.
• Facilitate monthly forecasting reviews with cross-functional partners to ensure forecast alignment.
• Monitor forecast accuracy and drive continuous improvement in planning processes.

Shipping & Logistics Coordination:

• Oversee outbound shipment schedules and carrier relationships
• Align shipping activities with demand plans to minimise delays, reduce costs, and maintain service levels.
• Ensure compliance with global shipping documentation and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with warehouse operations and freight providers to resolve issues and optimise transport performance.

Inventory & Supply Alignment:

• Translate demand plans into actionable inventory strategies, supporting new launches and product phase-outs.
• Anticipate stock imbalances
• Analyze replenishment and shipping data to support procurement and logistics decisions.
• 1st contact with the Warehouse and supervising the KPIs together with the Finance Manager.

Your Experience:

• Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics or a related field is preferable

Systems: Excel, and ERP sysems (Sap, Oracle) and a forecasting tool
