The Opportunity
We are looking for a proactive and organised Supply Chain Coordinator to join a busy operations team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in purchasing, supply chain, stock control, or logistics who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Reporting to the Senior Buyer, you will play a key role in supporting purchasing and inventory activities, ensuring stock availability, managing customer demand transactions, and maintaining efficient supply chain operations.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor inventory levels, customer demand, and supplier lead times to identify potential stock shortages.
Process customer demand transactions and maintain accurate system records.
Coordinate stock cycle counts with warehouse personnel.
Raise purchase orders for indirect materials and accessories.
Liaise with suppliers to progress orders and monitor supplier performance.
Communicate with internal departments regarding material availability and supply issues.
Maintain accurate purchasing and stock control data within the business ERP system.
Reconcile stock discrepancies and investigate variances.
Manage rejected components and coordinate corrective actions with suppliers.
Support internal and supplier quality activities, including corrective action reporting where required.
Maintain accurate purchasing, inventory, and supplier records.
Provide administrative support to the wider Supply Chain team as required.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Previous experience in a Purchasing, Supply Chain, Stock Control, Logistics, or similar administrative role.
Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
A proactive and flexible approach to work.
The ability to prioritise tasks and work effectively in a busy environment.
Strong communication skills and the confidence to liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office. Experience using SAP or another ERP/MRP system would be an advantage.
The ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
